Peaceful Principles
Transformation, Training and Workshops for Resilience

About Zia Brooks M.A., N.P.Q.H.

I have over a decade of experience in delivering wellbeing training in educational and other settings. This includes training staff and improving wellbeing at strategic whole school level.

I have worked in London secondary schools since 1992 as both a teacher and then a senior leader. Over time I developed a passion for improving wellbeing and resilience in staff and students. This led me to study and specialise  in Resilience, Wellbeing Psychology and Mindfulness training. I am also a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) teacher.

In the last decade, I have taught Mindfulness and The Psychology of Resilient Wellbeing to well over a thousand educators and young people both nationally and internationally. I have also coached and mentored senior leaders, middle managers, and public sector staff to improve wellbeing and support staff resilience.

After years of training educational and other public sector staff, such as the NHS and social services, I became an advisor to and the Lead Trainer for an international mental health charity. I was responsible for organising the training of educational staff in resilience psychology for adults and children. I also had the chance to become a member of and contributor to “The All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood”.

I have spoken at a number of educational conferences at both local and national level. I advocate for best practice to improve support for educators and young people, so that they can find more resilience and peace of mind in these challenging times.

As you can see the courses at Peaceful Principles have been developed through years of learning, research, and practice.

If you would like to find out more about them and how I can help you, the staff you work with and the children in your care please contact me.
