Foundation Training Level 1
Finding Resilience Course for Educators and those who work with young people.
This Foundation course will support adults in dealing with the challenges of working in an educational setting. It will also help to overcome the stress of everyday life, providing the capacity for greater resilience in work and beyond. The course principles are an integrated blend of practical Resilience-Wellbeing psychology and Mindfulness training.
It is designed to improve staff wellbeing & resilience and is an excellent way to support recruitment and retention initiatives.
This course runs for 9 hours in total. It is usually delivered in 6 x one and a half hour weekly twilight sessions in person or on zoom, as required. However, it can also be delivered over two half days, if that is preferable.
Each session is carefully constructed to ensure opportunity to practice and benefit from mindfulness activities and supported by learning helpful aspects of resilience psychology. The learning is underpinned by what neuroscience teaches us about the mind/body connection.
Each participant will receive a comprehensive Course Booklet to support learning and access to Peaceful Principles online guided meditations to use at home.
Course Content:
Session 1: Introduction to Resilience Psychology & Mindfulness.
Session 2: Deepening an understanding of why we feel as we do & how change is possible.
Session 3: How to find more resilience and calm when feeling overwhelmed .
Session 4: Being responsive rather than reactive to “challenging” people and “difficult” situations.
Session 5: Thriving in the face of change..
Session 6: Integrating Resilience Psychology into all of your life.
